It is a common belief that the chances of developing impotence increases with age. To an extent it is true as sexual impotence is very much dependent on the hormonal control and the vascular and nerve supply of the penis which weakens with age. As a result, it is but natural to develop impotence in the later stages of life.

But this does not mean that every male will become impotent in old age. Despite these facts, a large number of men enjoy a healthy sex life in their later years of life as well.

It all depends on the health and nutritional status of the body which affects both physical as well as mental strength.

Importance of Sexual Education in Dealing with Impotence

As a result, minor sexual problems remain hidden until they become chronic and all the more difficult to manage.

Proper sexual education helps people by giving them a basic idea about how to identify a hidden problem and gives them the confidence and knowledge to look at it in a serious manner without feeling guilty about it.

Psychological and physical causes of sexual impotence can be dealt with in a much better way if the patient is sexually aware of the sexual aspect of his body.
