Case Study No: 95 | Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP) - Gunjan Kalra

Gunjan Kalra, a Child Suffered from ITP Disorder

Gunjan Kalra is the daughter of Mohan and Poonam Kalra and belongs to Rohtak. Rohtak is also famous for having enormous medical facilities. Her ITP disorder came to the fore in October 2017, when the bleeding started from her nose. The doctors did her blood test and told them that her platelet count was too low, mere 18,000. When they asked for medicine to increase her platelet count, the doctors said that she has to take medicines for lifetime. Her parents then took her to an Ayurvedic doctor who did give them medicines and her platelet count came to 91,000 and remained stable there. It never increased from that level, but it was still not sufficient.

Her dad searched on the internet to find a cure and reached Rajamruth Vaidyashala. He somehow remembered that someone had mentioned its name earlier too. He couldn't remember who, but was very close to him. He found the videos of many patients getting the treatment of different diseases and getting healed from there. All seemed genuine and not acting to gain publicity.

It is a well known fact that the Rajamruth Vaidyashala which is managed by a highly qualified association of Ayurvedic doctors, Dr. Vikram Chauhan and his wife Dr. Meenakshi Chauhan, she is a gold medal winner while getting her degree. Both have lots of experience, are talented and hold a solid reputation in the Ayurvedic world. The raw material that comes to manufacture all the medicines is first checked by a solid and modern lab that it has come from the extraction of natural or organically grown plants and trees. If any defect is detected the whole quota is rejected without hearing any excuses. It has earned a name by now for producing 100% herbal medicines. It is well reputed and its name is flourishing at a hectic pace all over the globe. It even has a tag line 'holistic healing through herbs.'

He found their number from the website and he dialed their land line number and a very sweet voice of a lady asked him how Rajamruth Vaidyashala can help him. He narrated his daughter's whole story and asked that if they had a remedy that can treat her as he wished to meet Dr. Vikram Chauhan personally. She did fix their date of arrival and asked him to bring along all the papers related to his daughter's disease, all the lab reports and clinic slips the different doctors have given them and also asked them to reach the clinic at 9:30 am, that's the time this clinic opens and the doctors examine on first come first serve basis.

They arrived with their daughter in Chandigarh a day earlier and spent the night with their relative who resides there. The next day, both got up early and made a beeline and reached Rajamruth Vaidyashala. Both got duly impressed with the number of people present on their threshold. Both entered its premises and went straight to the receptionist. After introducing themselves, the receptionist wrote down the name of the patient on a slip that had Rajamruth Vaidyashala printed on it and guided them to an assistant of the doctors. The assistant kept asking about the symptoms that she was feeling and kept writing on that sheet.

After finishing she asked them to wait for their turn in the AC lounge. Both sat down and waited for their turn that came about 1:30pm and both went to the room of the doctor, who was sitting behind a huge table. After the initial greetings, the doctor asked them to hand over her disease related papers that he did so in a humble way. The doctor saw his ITP count that was too low. The doctor scrutinized them carefully and after finishing asked him to tell him the history of his daughter and he did do that with full honesty. After he had finished the doctor said, "Look Mr. Mohan Kalra, you need to take these Ayurvedic medicines and some dietary tips that your daughter has to follow precisely and this medicine will certainly restore your platelet level." "Doctor if you do that, it will give her a second life as the other doctors have said that allopathic medicines doesn't work effectively and another Ayurvedic doctor also didn't push her platelet count beyond 91,000. It will be grateful for me," said his mom. The doctor asked him to keep reporting every month the progress made. The doctor bid them goodbye and they headed towards the pharmacy that was located right in the front of the doctor's room.

Both came to the pharmacy and bought the medicines and left for their home in Rohtak in Haryana. After 3 months of treatment, he got her count checked in a lab and his daughter's platelet count had reached 2, 22,000 and he is feeling cheerful about it. Last week they again got it checked and this time it was showing to be 3, 15,000 and he felt proud to come to Rajamruth Vaidyashala.
