Review of Rajamruth Vaidyashala in Gurugram, Haryana | Case Study #10
Harpreet Kaur, the name means a lot, Har stands for all & Preet means love, Harpreet means she is loved by all. By profession she is an Air hostess and she has to keep smiling all the time, no matter how grim the situation becomes. She is 30 years old young lady who is a native of Gurugram. She used to do her job perfectly and was quite popular among her colleagues and she was a perfect host in international flights.
Her problem of Ulcerative Colitis (UC) began in the month of June 2018, when she felt that she had upset stomach. She began thinking about the food that she had consumed, but it was her routine diet and nothing extra ordinary. Even her appetite was losing its regular momentum and she didn't feel like eating anything. She thought it might be something as she used to feel the mucus coming out, very rarely and occasionally, with her stools and she completely ignored it. It might be due to that or something else. Even no one in her family had any history about stomach problem or anything like that, so she had a digestive powder with a glass of plain water and forgot everything about it.
After a few days while on a flight to New York all hell broke loose when she started visiting the toilet for 7 to 9 times a day, blood was also oozing out along with her stools and mucus also accompanied them. She asked her colleagues what to do. One of her colleagues told her to take rest in the crew's room and asked her if she needed something. She lied curled up with her hands placed on her stomach and even couldn't go to sleep because of this turmoil in her stomach. She asked her friend to bring curd and a few bananas, she later peeled them off and cut them in pieces and consumed them. But even that could not provide her any relief and she continued to suffer for 2 consecutive days.
The moment the plane landed at John F. Kennedy New York airport she never rushed to any local doctor, but did the treatment herself with the help of her colleagues and the first aid box present in the plane, as medical costs are too high in the USA. She boarded the first flight coming to India and reached Indira Gandhi International airport and headed straight to home. On seeing her face even her mother could sense something wrong. She curiously asked, "Look at your face, what happened? What's wrong with you?" She looked pale and narrated the whole story to her mom and both reached a local hospital and she was admitted there and then. The hospital staff did all her blood tests and ultrasonography, but nothing abnormal was noticed, but still prescribed some medicines and she did buy them and took them as prescribed. Glucose was transfused and her hands swelled a little bit, but she trusted the doctor.
She felt a little relief from those medicines, but it was the lull before the storm. The doctors did refer giving her injections laced with steroids, but fearing their after effects she plainly refused. After 2 days all her symptoms returned with more force and rashes appeared on her skin as the medicine reacted on her body. She again felt the blood and mucus coming with her stools, which had become loose, almost liquid. Now she even felt a little pain and started writhing in pain and started crying.
"What's wrong with me mom? I never tried eating anything, but the routine food and that came from the same kitchen, from where rest of my colleagues eat, why only me?" and began sobbing. Her mom also looked disturbed but patting her cheeks said encouraging her," don't worry child, everything will be taken care of, stop crying, you are just enhancing the symptoms, don't worry."
One of her friends after seeing her condition advised her to get Ayurvedic treatment from an Ayurvedic clinic in New Delhi. They tested and found that it was UC and treated her for that. Even that clinic also did not get the results as desired by Harpreet for the next 30 days. Even she was getting fed up of even Ayurvedic treatment. "Mom, now who else is left, the one that can cure my disease in a proper and effective way?" she asked her mom. Her mom was a lady who never said die and believed in the saying that 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going.' Her daughter had also lost a lot of weight and began appearing skinny and pale as if she is sick for many years.
She used to watch Youtube videos quite frequently and landed just at the right place, Rajamruth Vaidyashala. In November 2018 after those 5 horrible months, she came home in a beaming mood. Some have suggested another name but was the best Ayurvedic clinic of North India. Some nears or dears of them have found a solution there. I'll fix the appointment right now," she was chuckling and dialed Rajamruth Vaidyashala's number and a lady in a very pleasant voice said, "Hello, this is Rajamruth Vaidyashala and how can I help you?" She narrated the whole story and asked when can she come with her daughter and meet the doctors? The lady asked her to bring all the lab reports and medicine slips recommended by all the clinics and labs that they have ever visited and the whole history of their family and come to Mohali, the day after tomorrow. "Sure ma'am, we will come" she replied. Both of them landed from New Delhi to Chandigarh airport and took a cab to the HQ of Rajamruth Vaidyashala, which is quite near to the airport.
Rajamruth Vaidyashala proved to be a treasure trove and it carves age old remedies, in a modern ways. It is run & administered by a highly qualified, talented, reputed, experience holder and renowned pair of doctors, Dr. Vikram Chauhan and his wife Dr. Meenakshi Chauhan. All the remedies which are produced to rectify any kind of diseases by Rajamruth Vaidyashala are at first tested in a modern lab to check their authenticity. Rajamruth Vaidyashala is flourishing at a hectic pace globally. Both landed on the appointed day and saw a huge rush of patients and both were asked to wait for their turn as the doctors deal everybody on first come first serve basis. Their turn came at 1:45pm and both greeted the doctor sitting behind the table and showed him the reports and also narrated the whole story. He listened very interestingly and said, "Fine I'll prescribe you a UC Care Pack and some dietary changes also, remember you need to follow them strictly, otherwise you might deteriorate the whole condition, OK?" "Fine doctor, I am ready to do anything, just remove my symptoms as all these are affecting my whole career, I am ready to eat anything" she replied assuring him. He made her note down the diet recommended and he banned eating radish from her diet and asked her to contact him every month and let him know the effects of Ulcerative Colitis Care Pack.
After seeing the doctor both came out and bought the pack and left for New Delhi the same day. Her mom had a gut feeling that this time both have reached a nice place and got the right medicine and certainly it was that way. Her bleeding stopped completely within 4-5 days and the motions that had made her life terrible reduced to twice a day in the 3rd week and after about a month and a half, just once a day. This pack has also enhanced her appetite, making her eat 3 meals a day and the diet recommended by the doctor at Rajamruth Vaidyashala, helped her to regain weight.
Harpeet rang up the clinic last week and her voice said it all, "Doctor I've become habitual to having that diet recommended by you and thanks a lot doc," she was chuckling. Rajamruth Vaidyashala is a place that is making this world to become a better place for living.
