Diet Plan for Vata Prakriti

Everybody has his own constitution, likewise, the Vata predominant people are those who have the qualities like instant action taking, quite activeness, but have less immunity due to which they are more susceptible to diseases. Vata dosha is one of the Vital Energies of the body, which is composed of air and space elements.The symptoms of aggravated Vata include an irregular digestion, gas, constipation, intestinal cramps, poor assimilation and fatigue. Vata has cool properties, people with Vata prakriti like more cold, and dry foodstuffs. Generally foods which are sweet, sour, and salty in taste are good for balancing vata, and recommended for healthy digestion. Vata imbalance may result from excessive alcohol, hot spicy, fried foods, raw veggies, and fermented foods. Excessive food consumption can also contribute to Vata imbalance, mostly that tastes bitter, pungent and astringent.

DIET CHART FOR VATA PRAKRITI

EARLY-MORNING

One glass of warm water + 1 tsp Fenugreek seeds

BREAKFAST

Broken wheat porridge (Veg Dalia) / Veg Semolina (veg upma) / Veg Vermicelli (Sewian) / Veg poha (Rice flakes) / Veg Oats / Veg Idli / Semolina pancake / Stuffed Chapatti / Chapatti with veg or Dal / Yogurt / 1- egg white part only

MID-MORNING

Fruits / Steamed salad / Coconut water / Buttermilk

LUNCH

Plain chapatti / Boiled Rice / Veg / Dal + Curd + salad

EVENING

Herbal Tea / Green tea / Rice flakes snack

PRE-DINNER
